We are looking for a Festival Producer that is a highly motivated self-starter, passionate about music and art, and has a love of production and operations. The Festival Producer provides a broad range of administrative and production support, most especially while the executive director is on parental leave. Ideal candidate starts in early November.
Key duties include the following:
  • Responsible for producing the 2022 Festival. Manage all production and logistics aspects, do all advance preparation for all concerts/events (scheduling, hiring + managing crew, volunteers, instrument rentals, create stage plots, etc) and oversee and be present during all events (oversee load in/load out, run-of-show , etc). 
  • Act as the main point of contact for artists and venues.
  • Conduct site visits to venues as needed. 
  • Contract all festival artists, hosts and seasonal staff
  • Confirm all venues alongside executive director and president 
  • Responsible for collecting and processing all bills, invoices and receipts for reimbursement. 
  • Assist with the creation of the program booklet working closely with executive director, graphic designer and festival partner. Collect all materials necessary to create the program booklet. 
  • Work closely with the development manager to prepare grant reports and/or applications.
  • In collaboration with the executive director and festival partner, create/implement marketing strategy, and work closely with venues to promote concerts.
  • Collaborate with festival partner and publicity agency to implement press strategy.
  • Oversee social media manager (approve/proof all social media content and eblasts)
  • Other duties as assigned and are typical of a Producer.
Qualifications and Skills 
  • Strong organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, other financial processes.
  • Experience of nonprofit or cultural organization administration and producing public events
  • Effective producer managing talent, vendors, and timelines
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and on multiple tasks simultaneously.
The Festival Producer reports to the executive director. 
This is a temporary, part time, contracted position with an estimated duration of November 1, 2021 through May 30, 2022.
A payment of $4,500 will be offered.
